But today I passed another FAR Part 135 recurrent checkride.  Now realize that I passed my last checkride in July and FAR Part 135 states that I can do anywere from December through Feburary to complete my recurrent checkride. After flying for about a year, yes that is one full year where I am working somewhere between 12 to 14 hours ON DUTY.  I am pretty used to it.  I work usually 13.5 hours per day five days a week.  Now don't get me wrong. For the most part couriers are just like the pilot, wants to go to work, get work done, and go home.  Then again you have those that don't totally conform to that.  One of the biggest type of couriers that do not conform to this are the talkers. Yes it's long, yes it can get really really boring but...it pays well and I am working for a smaller Part 135 outfit that bases in the southeast United States but I am in the Midwest!
